Szijjarto says EU to present new sanctions against Russia in 7 days

BUDAPEST, Nov 13 (PRIME) -- The European Commission will present a draft 12th package of sanctions against Russia in a week, while Hungary will block it if it covers the nuclear power sector, Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said on Monday.

"We have been just notified about a meeting between the heads of the foreign ministries that the 12th package of sanctions against Russia will be presented to the E.U. member-countries in a week," Szijjarto said.

He added that he saw no chance of a serious discussion of the measures because the previous 11 packages were not objectively assessed for the damage to the European economy and their effectiveness in promoting peace.
